gardnerweb.com/altair EVENT DESCRIPTION: Composites forming processes are expensive and difcult to control because of the complexity of material behavior. Hence, numerical simulation could be a viable approach to predict material behavior during composites forming. Tis session will present a study where Altair RADIOSS® has been used to simulate forming of composite plies made from woven fbers. Crash simulations after mapping fber angles from stamping simulation is then performed to validate the process. Tis methodology has already generated signifcant interest at automotive OEMs and their suppliers to incorporate it within the product development cycle. PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN: • Innovative methodology to simulate a composites forming process • In fuence of fber orientation after forming on product's crash performance • Real-life examples of successful application of the methodology Forming Simulation of Woven Composite Fibers and its Infuence on Structural Performance REGISTER TODAY FOR WEBINAR AT: DATE AND TIME: October 22, 2015 • 2:00 PM EDT PRESENTER PRESENTED BY altair.com SUBIR ROY, PHD Senior Director, Industry Solutions - Altair
