It is designed to provide fully traceable data to help simulation analysts fnd and use the right materials data. The new package is based on the GRANTA MI materials information management system. MI:Simulation adds new tools to analyze materials data and prepare the resulting models for computer-aided engineering (CAE). GRANTA MI:Data Analysis Apps will support key tasks (e.g., curve smoothing, averaging and model ftting) that usually must be tailored to users' specifc properties and materials of interest and to their in-house or preferred analysis methods/models. A sample App is provided to extract tensile test data from a corporate database, process it and make the resulting models available for simulation. The fnal step is to make this data available to the simulation analysts who need it. GRANTA MI:Materials Gateway software enables access from directly within CAE environments, including Abaqus/CAE, ANSYS Workbench, HyperMesh, and NX.
